To work with the Product Development team to deliver a high level of secure and robust service provision to both internal and external stakeholders. To advise on new technologies that will make the systems more scalable, optimised and proficient.

Summary of main duties:

  • Ensuring the continuous development of Liftshare.com and its affiliated sites, as well as working with the rest of the team to develop new products and tools
  • Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Completing requests for change including creating custom data reports, website updates, routine website and server maintenance, and bug fixing
  • Evaluating ideas on new and emerging web technologies to use within our business

Main skills:

  • Proficient in C#, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
  • Familiarity with the .NET framework (4+ and core2+)
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Excellent knowledge of MVC frameworks
  • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
  • Familiar with dependency injection and inversion of control principals
  • Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Proficient understanding of GIT versioning tools
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
  • Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements
  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
  • Familiarity with continuous integration
  • Manage and support development environments in Microsoft Azure cloud
