Senior Front End developer

To work in the Product Development team to take a leading role in developing the next generation of user interfaces to create intuitive, user-friendly and engaging Liftshare products. You will lead on bridging the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role in both sides.

We are now looking to add another cog to our wheel in the shape of a Senior Front End Developer.

You will work within our highly knowledgeable Product Development Team and take a leading role in developing the next generation of user interfaces to create intuitive, user-friendly and engaging Liftshare products. You will lead on bridging the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role in both sides.

What the Job Involves

  • Developing and continuously improving Liftshare products including; developing new user-facing features, suggesting innovative ideas and ensuring the technical feasibility of the UI/UX designs
  • Architecting and defining the Front-end framework to solve complex designs and interactions
  • Providing direction and feedback on new design frameworks
  • Evaluating and advising on ideas on new and emerging web technologies to use within our business, ensuring that they are scalable for the future
  • Taking pride in developing the expertise across the PD team, in line with the overarching technical strategy, by continuously sharing knowledge, instructing and assisting other developers in their work and learnings
  • Developing unit and integration tests
  • Deliver high quality optimized web applications that meet industry accessibility standards provide quality user experience on all platforms and browsers.
  • Assisting in occasional DevOps such as configuration and CI pipeline updates
  • Proactively seeking feedback and helping to fix issues to support Liftshare’s products and services
  • An ability to reason about your code and discuss advanced development techniques/patterns

Technical Skills

  • Minimum 5 years experience with modern JS and JS-based frameworks (e.g.Vue, React)
  • Fully proficient understanding of web markup (HTML5) and front-end pre-processors and styling (e.g. CSS3, SCSS, etc)
  • Excellent knowledge of responsive design and UX and UI frameworks
  • Excellent knowledge of the latest build tools and technologies (e.g. Typescript, Webpack, etc)
  • Strong knowledge in code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Experience with Test Driven Development and unit testing
  • Good knowledge in .NET Core, C# and SQL.
  • Advanced experience with search engine functions and SEO
  • Excellent understanding of the latest web tools and technologies that provide excellent usability and drive innovation
  • Good knowledge of continuous integration principals

Salary

Our successful candidate will receive an enviable rewards and benefits package together with a salary in the region of circa £44k+
